Midnight Fashion Launch on The 23rd of November 2007,  (photo above is of the line ten mins before opening)

The night was a huge success, with over 700 fashionable people coming down and checking the new night out!

After a very long build up, the hype was big and the standard ready to be set; Midnight Fashion promised it all – young upcoming designers, premium alcohols, sleek venue, VIP room, platinum tickets and beautiful people.

The evening was mild, and turning the corner into the ally it was clear to see the anticipation was as high as the waists on some of the shorts fluttering around out front trying to skip the line.

Something creator and organiser Cameron Hill had not factored in was what if there was too much hype? Midnight Fashion did in fact have all of the above; the designers were hugely talented, the people beautiful, the VIP room stocked with gift bags and bar staff were hot to trot.

By the first show at 10:30, Bond Lounge was packed and saw people treading on toes, clawing their way towards the catwalk to try getting a glimpse of what drew them here in the first place.

The catwalk show (from what I could see) was received really well – with these fresh young gun designers gaining instant approval from punters with their ready to wear fashions. Featured on the night were the likes of LS Clothing, Boski, Chroni, Kiss Chacey, Ma.te.a, Dorothy and Evelyn, MLY, Anna Campbell and Joolz.
