When a Jamaican designer raised in England hits Melbourne Australia you can expect the UK’s fashion scene

with the influence of his funky roots of the Caribbean to create something for the cool runnings of Australia.

Richard Wiggan who heads Design, Production and Marketing of Chocolate City has a diverse background from

design and engineering, Hairdressing, Sales management to property and interior design.

The label in its 4th year designs clothing for men and women and started with a small range of tee shirts and

quickly expanded after the first year and now sells a range of Tshirts, Pants, Dresses, Denim, Sweaters, Jackets,

Knitwear, Underwear and Accessories. The label has a broad target market with a demographic of 17 – 35.

After the success of selling the range in Melbourne, Chocolate City sold the new range to numerous stores across

Australia and stocks stores across Australia.

In February 2008 an E-Commerce site will be launched for customers to buy online at www.chocolatecity.com.au

Chocolate City opened its first long awaited concept store in Greville St, Melbourne in February 07. The store has

two levels combining 140 sqm of retail on the first level and showroom facilities upstairs with offices for

wholesale and design.

The brand focuses all its production locally and maintains consistent quality control of its products. Local and

imported fabrics are used and many are hand printed for its point of difference in the market. The Label also has

two new diffusion lines in the pipeline and also plans to expand into shoes and accessories.

After interest overseas Chocolate City seeks agents to introduce the brand to the European market and look to

further its export market by showcasing the label at trade shows in Las Vegas (Project), Barcelona (Bread and

Butter) and explore the potential to participate in fashion weeks in Europe and Asia.
